版木とは異なり、zanpar や ganzaiと呼ばれるチベット密教の法具です。
シャーマニズム的要素も強い品です。
東チベットアバの骨董商人から譲ってもらいました。
元はこの倍の長さがあったはずですが、半分にして御守りとして受け継がれてきたものです。
四面全てにびっしりと彫られています。
このような年代物のザンパルはとても希少です。
時にこれをさらに短く割って懐中守りとして身に着けているチベット人も見かけます。
貴重なアンティーク品です。
